Get Involved

Colour Me Green is made possible by the support of many volunteers, community partners and the generous sponsorship of our presenting partners. Learn more about how to get involved below:

Volunteer

Volunteers are needed for Aug. 6, 2017 in Olds for the centennial Colour Me Green, hosted in conjunction with 4-H Fever. For the event to run, we will need to have 45 volunteer staff on site helping in the following roles:

  • Route set-up
  • Check-in
  • Water station
  • Start / finish line powder station
  • Paint stations (there are 3)

It is an asset to have current first aid and CPR certification! Volunteers will be contacted near the end of April 2017. For more information and to submit your contact information go to this form.

Become a local liaison

If Colour Me Green is being hosted in your community and you would like to help plan, we would love to hear from you! This would be a long-term commitment leading up to the Colour Me Green event date. Those interested must coordinate with the hosting community’s 4-H Alberta Regional Council. Please contact us at cmg4hab@gmail.com to learn more about this role.

Host Colour Me Green

We love hearing that you’re interested in having Colour Me Green visit your community to celebrate 4-H, fitness and fun! Due to the configuration of the planning team and the available funds, only one Colour Me Green run can be planned and hosted each year. It takes lots of time to make sure all the details are in place to create the perfect colour run experience!

To submit a request to host Colour Me Green in future years, please reach out to your 4-H Alberta Regional Council and nominate your community. For the 2018 event, only communities located in the Northwest, West Central and Peace Regions are qualified to host. Eligible Regions to host in 2019 will be announced after the completion of Colour Me Green 2018.
