Our Story

Established in 2016, Colour Me Green is an annual colour run experience hosted by 4-H Alberta that welcomes more than 1,000 participants of all ages and capabilities. This not-for-profit event hosts 4-H members, family, friends, alumni and local community participants alike to promote 4-H, fitness and fun!

Colour Me Green is organized by a volunteer team of coordinators working under an Executive Director. This team works with the hosting Regional Council and a liaison team on the ground at the chosen location to plan an event each summer. Learn more about the 2017 volunteer coordinators by visiting The Team. To learn more about how your community can apply to host Colour Me Green in future years, visit Get Involved. Join us on Aug. 6, 2017 in Olds to paint the original 4-H town GREEN as part of the 4-H Fever centenary celebrations.

The new Send a Kid to 4-H Camp initiative will launch in January 2018 as a permanent reinvestment from Colour Me Green back into the 4-H community. This opportunity allows Leaders to nominate their club members for a $150 bursary to attend 4-H camps across Alberta. To learn more about this initiative or to donate, please visit Send a Kid to 4-H Camp.
